Clifford began his career in scaffolding in 2007, when he started working at a Cape Town based scaffolding company as a Contracts Supervisor.

In 2014, Clifford joined a top Scaffolding and Formwork company in Cape Town, specializing in the supply and installation of scaffolding, where he worked as Contracts Supervisor for nine years. Here, Clifford worked on various projects including many high-rise developments in the Cape Town CBD, high-profile residential projects and industrial sites.

In mid-2023, Clifford joined the Alpine Scaffolding team, in the position of Contracts Manager.

Some of Clifford’s bigger projects included Merriman Square, Tsogo Sun, 16 on Bree and The Arum for Concor (previously Murray & Roberts) and, more recently, The River Club for WBHO. He also has experience working on industrial sites such as Koeberg and harbour-based projects.

As Contracts Manager at Alpine Scaffolding, Clifford focuses largely on:

• New Business procurement.
• Building and managing client relationships.
• Analysing client specifications and requirements.
• Tendering for new contracts.
• Managing contracts to suit clients’ expectations.
• Reviewing and costing of completed contracts.
