Jonathan, born in the Eastern Cape in South Africa, embarked on his journey in the scaffolding industry in 2006, with his career taking root in Edinburgh, Scotland. During this time, he honed his skills in scaffold erection and dismantling across a variety of project sites, rapidly ascending to a leadership role within his team.

In 2009, he brought his expertise back to South Africa, joining one of the country’s premier Scaffolding & Formwork Hire & Sales organizations. As their National Training Manager, he made significant contributions to the company from 2009 to 2016.

Over the subsequent seven years, Jonathan expanded his professional portfolio, working with both Hire & Sales and Contract Scaffolding companies. During this period, he acquired extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Training, Sales, and Contracts Management.

Jonathan’s impressive track record includes his work on several high-profile projects, such as:

• 4 Dorp Street, Cape Town CBD – 132m high, utilizing 685 tons of scaffolding.
• Amazon, Observatory, Cape Town.
• Incremental launch of the N2 bridge near King Shaka Airport.
• Boardwalk Casino, Port Elizabeth.

In October 2023, Jonathan joined the Alpine Scaffolding team, stepping into the roles of Formwork Supervisor and Hire & Sales Representative. More recently, he took on the role of Business Development Manager.

In his position at Alpine Scaffolding, Jonathan’s primary responsibilities include:

• Business Development and procurement of new access scaffolding contracts.
• Management and supervision of scaffolding contracts.
